Summary

I'd like to suggest a feature for AdGuard's Safari extension: the ability to right-click and report ads, trackers, or unwanted elements directly from a web page. This would make it much easier for users to report issues without having to go through additional steps.

Use Case

Right now, reporting ads or trackers usually requires users to identify and report them manually, often outside the browser. With this feature, users could:

  1. Right-click on the element they want to report (like an ad or a tracker).
  2. Choose a new "Report this element" option in the right-click menu.
  3. Fill out a quick form (optional) that captures details like what the element is, what the issue is, and submit it, while staying on the same page.
  4. Receive a confirmation that their report was sent.

This would make the reporting process faster and easier, allowing users to help improve AdGuard's filters without interrupting their browsing.

Why It Would Help

  • It simplifies the reporting process. Users won’t have to leave the page or open a separate app to report ads or trackers.
  • More accurate reports. Users will be able to immediately report the exact element causing issues.
  • Encourages more user participation in improving filters, since the process becomes less of a hassle.
