The current examples in 3.7.8 are all for 'plain' dispositions. It would help to have elucidations for functions. The disposition examples involve a material entity that is causally upstream.
E.g. what is the material basis for the function of a screwdriver? Is it the screwdriver itself? Or some (all?) qualities of the screwdriver (handle shape, shape of head, etc)?

This is another argument for separating 'has material basis' from 'has qualitative basis' (see discussion in #113). The material basis for the function of the screwdriver would be the screwdriver itself and the qualitative basis would include handle shape, shape of head, etc.
