Cinnamon 3.6.7
Linux Mint 18.3 x64

Windows for a few pinned apps are not being grouped and are listed elsewhere. The cases are:

x3270 - separate window listed
vlc 3.04 - separate grouped window listed
midnight commander - window groupted with terminal windows

Attached is your .json file, the .desktop files for the above and the .xsession-errors file.

I should also note that a cinnamon restart results in some running applications losing their "connection" with their pinned app. The desktop files for the three apps which I had running and which have this issue are in the attached file:
