Yes, I'm currently procrastinating on finishing a ground-up rewrite. New UI, better configuration, multithreaded operation, HD/SSD detection. A great deal is already done.

Unfortunately I'm very good at procrastination.

I don't think I've related to something more in my life

Hi,
happy Xmas.
Could I ask for some features?
Witha 16TB Steam-HD full, I came to conclusion, that compressing is now only important if it hits the follwoing criteria:

a. if the Program can detect, if it is worthy to compress a file as following:
b. it is not in the list to be touched
c. then make a list of the files to be compressed in a db-file for faster access without the OS-filesystem (only on update at user request)
d. sort the db from small to big and then test if any file is compressed more than 30%.
e. be pauseable, and resume at the next boot... ( I do not want to run my PCs over night)
f. be DONATABLE !!! :)

Regards

I just want to say I love your program, but I've been using the beta compactgui as of late because I can disable filters. If you are planning on adding an option to turn off the compresstimation (idk what to call it) that would be fantastic. I would prefer to use compactor because compactgui is fairly weird with the ui, sometimes things I'll do will just crash it for no reason also I like how compactor visualizes it a lot better. I really appreciate the work you put into this and would love to see a release soon, no rush.

I've started a new job at @serpapi recently, so most of my efforts are currently directed elsewhere. I will get back to this, though, I promise :)

@Freaky btw, when you do get around to it you might consider integrating with already impressive CompactGUI database
To make it possible to send submissions from within the app like CompactGUI does.
Anyway, just a little idea for you to consider :)
