Gyakobo/README.md

Hi there! ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm Andrew Gyakobo

๐Ÿ”ญ Research Assistant & Developer @ NJIT

Designing and developing cutting-edge Java applications at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), I focus on creating seamless user experience and ensuring compatibility with cloud databases. As I pursue my Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science, I dive deep into software engineering, web development, and artificial intelligence. My toolkit includes Git, MongoDB, GitHub, C#, and, of course, Java.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Experience:

๐Ÿš€ Software Developer Intern @ Amazon Web Services (AWS), Inc.

Developed internal web scaffolding tools to generate new web pages and create API systems. Worked on API requests and managed databases.

๐Ÿš€ Research Assistant, Software Developer @ Swissler Innovative Robotics Lab at NJIT

Developed a bio-inspired algorithm for road routing, simulating slime mold behavior for optimized network formation. Utilized Python and OSMnx to enhance route mapping efficiency in urban planning applications.

๐Ÿš€ Software Engineering Intern @ Solera, Inc.

During my recent internship at Solera, Inc., I honed my skills by developing robust C#/.Net code and building dynamic HTML websites for clients.

๐Ÿš€ Research Assistant, Java App Developer @ Intelligent Transportation Systems Resource Center (ITSRC) at NJIT

Manufactured and integrated a java app which uses the university on-campus surveillance to inform driverโ€™s of potential jaywalkers. Ensured compatibility and integration between Java apps and the Verizon cloud database.

๐Ÿš€ Research Assistant, Data Analyst @ Center for Solar-Terrestrial Research (CSTR) at NJIT

Wrote Python code to analyze vast arrays of temperature data(Ion Temperature, Electron Temperature, etc.) supplied by the Poker Flat IS Radar (in short a radio telescope). Determined an algorithm to trace sudden spikes in the atmospheric Ion temperature in order to locate and track the unknown phenomenon of Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement (STEVE). Established a new dataset determining the various altitudes where STEVEs or STEVE related events occur

๐Ÿ† Passionate Innovator & Developer

I thrive on creating innovative solutions that make a difference in people's lives. My passion for learning and collaboration drives me to engage with diverse and talented teams, always aiming to contribute meaningfully to the vision and mission of any organization I join.

Let's build something amazing together! ๐ŸŒŸ
