Command:

xmllint --noout --schema http://www.loc.gov/standards/mets/mets.xsd 226835472/mets.xml

Output contains numerous instances of this error:

226835472/mets.xml:41: element object: Schemas validity error : Element '{http://www.loc.gov/premis/v3}object', attribute '{http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance}type': The QName value '{http://www.loc.gov/premis/v3}file' of the xsi:type attribute does not resolve to a type definition.
226835472/mets.xml:41: element object: Schemas validity error : Element '{http://www.loc.gov/premis/v3}object': The type definition is absent.

Corresponding line in METS file:

<premis:object xsi:type="premis:file">

So apparently something is wrong with the type definition.

This looks similar:

http://blog.humaneguitarist.org/2018/04/26/a-faulty-premis/

BUT file does validate OK with JHOVE xml module. So maybe this is an xmllint problem?
