Because most of the times I don't want to regenerate the image just to have background removed.

The stable-diffusion-webui-rembg extension supports this model now as of the latest commit. If you want to use it directly in txt2img/img2img, you can add it to the Enable postprocessing operations in txt2img and img2img tabs list in settings.
