Upgrading PirateBoxSources piratebox_img.gz

Caution: With upgrading you piratebox_ws_img.tar.gz , everthing stored/modified in /opt/piratebox will be lost! This can be the shoutbox, Forum-Files custom-changes in piratebox.conf or /opt/piratebox/chat/ Currently no migration of user-modification is planned.

Caution: With v.0.5.1 the imagefile changed from piratebox_img.gz to piratebox_ws_img.tar.gz Caution: With v.0.6.3 the imagefile changed from piratebox_img.gz to piratebox_ws_0.6_img.tar.gz

Make a Backup of usb-drive/PirateBox/pbIMG.img if you want to transfer data from /opt/piratebox .

1. Power off your Piratebox
2. Take the USB Device, Plug it into your Computer
3. Download the new piratebox_ws_0.6_img.tar.gz
4. Replace the file on your USB Device with the fresh downloaded one
5. Make a Backup of pbIMG_ws.img in PirateBox - Folder on the USB Device
6. Plugin your USB Device into your PirateBox
7. BootUp your Piratebox
8. Connect your computer via LAN
9. Login via SSH ssh 192.168.1.1
10. Stop the current running Piratebox: /etc/init.d/piratebox stop
11. Run the following command /etc/init.d/piratebox updatePB
12. Start the Piratebox again /etc/init.d/piratebox start
