Summary

Key Points Discussed:

  • Current Players & Existing Solutions: DevHub offers tools for developing contracts across various languages, with specific SDKs and RPC clients for Rust, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Challenges and Potential Solutions: The onboarding process for JS SDK for contract development needs improvement and there are security concerns. A full-stack approach similar to Heroku is suggested for JS SDK.
  • Partnership and Ecosystem Support: Pagoda and DevHub to organize content oriented towards the developer-audience. LimeChain to maintain JS tooling, with recruitment of a full-stack JS developer

Goals & Milestones

  • Organize content to be developer-audience oriented.
  • Route SDK queries to the TG group led by Vlad.
  • Recruit a full-stack JS developer to manage the JS track.
  • Increase awareness and education within the ecosystem about the available tools. Promote DevHub as a central point for DevTools topics.
  • Create RFPs for strategic directions, particularly focusing on JS and Python Contracts SDK.
  • Identify resources and budget needs to support Developer Relations from DevHub.
