Commands

Supported commands

All commands are entered in the input line, where you would submit text messages in a room.

Custom messages

• /me <message> – send a message as an emote, where your username is prefixed
• /react <text> – send a message as a reaction when you’re replying to a message
• /md – force Markdown when sending the current message
• /plain – force plain text when sending the current message
• /rainbow – Send a message in rainbow colors
• /rainbowme – Send a /me message in rainbow colors
• /notice – Send a message as m.room.notice, which does not cause a notification by default
• /rainbownotice – Send a /notice in rainbow colors
• /confetti - Send a message with confetti
• /rainbowconfetti - Send a rainbow message with confetti

Room management

• /join <roomname> – join a room
• /part//leave – Leave the current room
• /roomnick <roomname> – change your nickname in a single room
• /invite <username> – invite a user into the current room
• /kick <username> – kick a user from the current room
• /ban <username> – ban a user from the current room
• /unban <username> – unban a user

Navigation

• /goto <matrix uri/matrix.to link/eventid> - navigates to a specific event as if you clicked on such a link in the timeline

Emoticons

• /shrug – inserts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
• /fliptable – inserts (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
• /unfliptable – inserts ┯━┯╭( º _ º╭)
• /sovietflip – inserts ノ┬─┬ノ ︵ ( \\o°o)\\

Advanced

• /clear-timeline – it removes all but the most recent messages from the currently rendered timeline and then refetches it from the server; can be used to fix some cache issues
• /rotate-megolm-session – it rotates the encryption key used to send encrypted messages in a room
• /converttodm//converttoroom - converst a room to a direct chat or back
