This page contains a brief summary of the status of the Xolotl development team each morning during the month of July 2016.
Sophie - Finishing the presentation for the Quest meeting. Working on the problem with writing parallel HDF5 files on Eos.
Sophie - Working on the HDF5 start stop file in multidimension and for grouping method.
Sophie - Finishing on the HDF5 start stop file in multidimension and for grouping method.
Ozgur - Working on Leland's "orange" state. Installing Fedora 24, Xolotl, UQTk v3.0, and the dependencies.
Ozgur - Continuing on the installs.
Sophie - Looking at Xolotl convergence with different atol options with the new PETSc options.
Sophie - Working on adding diffusivity to HeV clusters (for V =1, 2, 3). Testing 2D simulations with the new PETSc options.
Ozgur - Constructing the surrogate model with the updated UQTk.
Sophie - Continuing on adding diffusivity to HeV clusters (for V =1, 2, 3). Updating the tutorial branch with the latest PETSc option and network and parameter files.
Ozgur - Resolving the surrogate model problems. Writing down the model steps.
Sophie - Working making a back-up of the svn repository. Installing Xolotl on Newton.
Ozgur - Continuing on writing down the new UQ steps with updated UQTk v3.0.
Sophie - Trying to add the HeV + HeV reaction to see how the results change with the HeV diffusivity.
Ozgur - Learning the mathematics of the UQ steps in detail by studying Sargsyan's "On the Statistical Calibration of Physical Models".
Sophie - Testing the different arkimex PETSc options. Trying the start stop option on Eos with a small simulation.
Sophie - Continuing to test the different arkimex PETSc options. Looking at making a clean installation of Xolotl on Newton.
Ozgur - Talking with Khachik Sargsyan at SNL about the further steps of the UQ method used for Xolotl.
Ozgur - Converting bash scripts into python scripts for UQ steps; parametric fit, surrogate model, and forward propagation. Writing a postprocessing script.
Sophie - Continuing to test the solver's convergence on the sectional branch.
Sophie - Updating the start stop HDF5 file format so that it works with the sectional method.
Ozgur - Working on the postprocessing script for the surrogate model.
Sophie - Running 1D and 2D tests on Eos with different solver options.
Ozgur - Trying different surrogate model options with different black-box functions and parameter domains.
