Is it possible to simulate the transient operation of a gas turbine with pyCycle? For example, I would like to simulate the acceleration from idle to max power of a mixed-flow turbofan.
Thanks!

pyCycle does not model the rotation dynamics of the turbomachinery so you will not be able to get what I understand you are looking for. Maybe a way to do this would be to have pyCycle calculate the off-design results for small increments in throttle and then use a first order function to get thrust versus time. This is how it is typically done.
Do you know how can I change the throttle? My idea would be to modify the FAR with small increments, but I am not able to modify this value because of the balance.
