quality of charts / colors

I compared several KAP files from 2017 with older versions from 2016 and the quality of the new maps is much worse than before. I think the problems come from the algorithm that is responsible for reducing the number of colors. This leads to illegible names of streets and other objects.

The following sample (Warnemuende, baltic sea) file illustrates the problem:
