Use Firefox browser#Manually import certificates

This page will demonstrate in detail how to set up a Firefox+XXnet Internet access channel on a brand new Windows7 computer. (Chinese-English bilingual)

download

Open the Firefox official website to download the browser: https://www.mozilla.org/zh-CN/firefox/new/.

Find all supported languages and operating systems on the "All Systems and Languages" page.

Install

  • The full installation package is downloaded from the "All systems and languages" page. A warning may pop up when running the installation package, just click "Run".

WARNING

  • If you don't want to install "Silent Update Service", please select "Custom Installation", otherwise you can go to the next step.

Custom installation

  • After the installation is complete, the program will ask you if you want to import data from other browsers. You can decide whether to import or not.

Import data

Get and run XX-Net

  • Open https://github.com/XX-net/XX-Net#download link, pay attention to see if there is a green certificate verification successful display before the URL. Download link
  • Choose to download the stable version and unzip it after downloading. Run the start.bat in the folder to generate a desktop shortcut (later started through the shortcut)
  • If a request for administrator privileges (User Account Control) pops up, please allow it.

  • A firewall warning may pop up when running for the first time, please allow access.

set proxy

Option 1: Simple way

  • After starting XX-Net, tray icon will appear in the lower right corner. Right-click the tray icon and click "Global PAC Smart Agent". Tray right-click menu
  • Firefox menu - Options - Advanced - Network - Settings, check the automatic proxy settings, enter: http://127.0.0.1:8086/proxy.pac, complete.
  • Of course, the last step is to manually import the certificate, and then you can enjoy the Internet.

Manually set the system proxy

When using the tray menu to set the proxy fails, you can manually set the system proxy. For details, please see: Set proxy

Manually import the certificate

  1. Click the menu button in the upper right corner and select "Preferences" of the browser Firefox menu
  2. Select "Certificate" in "Advanced", select "View Certificate", select "Certificate Authority" in the certificate manager, and click "Import". Firefox import certificate
  3. In the XX-Net folder, find the "CA.crt" certificate in the data\gae_proxy directory and import it. Firefox Import Certificate 2
  4. In the pop-up "Download Certificate" window, select "Trust websites identified by this CA" and confirm. "Download Certificate" window
  5. Try to access https://www.google.com/ or https://www.facebook.com/ to check whether the certificate is imported successfully. Check whether the certificate is imported successfully

Note (Every time you update xx-net, keep the data folder, no need to re-import the certificate)
