We've already separated the problematic codecs into a new xpra-codecs-extra package: 07b9121 - we now build ffmpeg against the EPEL / rpmfusion packages so that we can load both ffmpeg and gstreamer (#3706)

It would be nice to be able to install the text clients on a system, without installing any gtk bits.

Mostly done, still TODO:

  • hint at missing / unavailable commands with xpra help usage output
  • Debian packaging
