Can you use the latest Actions Runner version on a GHES 3.10 instance?

Overview: I'm looking to support actions using: node20 which was added in 2.308.0 in GHES 3.10.

Problem Statement: I was under the impression that the Actions Runner will automatically update itself to the latest version but, the Action Runner is only updating to 2.304.0 in GHES 3.10.

I know, for public GitHub, there is a reference to the minimal runner container image in About Actions Runner Controller - GitHub Enterprise Server 3.10 Docs.

However, in our GHES instance, we don't have the repository actions/runner.

Ask: Is this the expected behavior? Is there a support matrix for Actions Runner and GHES versions?

Update: You can't. After updating to GHES 3.12 the runner version was updated to 2.312.0 which enabled node20.
