It is possible to specify for each slide both a link to an external and an internal site. In such case the internal site link takes precedence however both fields should be mutually exclusive. Please see the attached screenshot.

If you use djangocms-cascade's internal Carousel plugin, you can add internal links (and btw. much more else) and you don't have that problem.
