using a Pi 2, and Jessie there are a couple of issues:

  • the node version is pretty out of date and currently breaks the node app
  • connected clients aren't issued IP addresses
  • the DNSMASq isn't getting requests from connected clients

Any ideas? I'll try it with wheezy now

Script works on Wheezy.

I can second the last two issues. Running off of the latest Jessie build of Raspbian with a fresh install.

Happy to help with any testing. Here's a wee excerpt from syslog, if that helps.

And here's dnsmasq.conf, which hasn't been changed.

interface=br0
address=/#/192.168.3.1
address=/apple.com/0.0.0.0
dhcp-range=192.168.3.101,192.168.3.254,255.255.255.0,1h

Same here, but if I assign the 192.168.3.1 address manually to br0 it starts assigning DHCP addresses to the clients.

sudo ifconfig br0 192.168.3.1
