From 3a511b3628ca272a545902ca87e5f9ec0dfa64d1 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Christopher Loverich <1010084+cloverich@users.noreply.github.com> Date: Mon, 12 Feb 2024 08:01:39 -0800 Subject: [PATCH] fix search - fix search persistence when navigating in and out of notes, if search was not initiated by pagination (i.e. sidebar). Caused by setSearch not updating the URL. Fixing that revealed a loop, and required refactoring to use the route tree to control which components have access to the search store - refactor TagSearchStore -> SearchParser; make it stateless and move stateful handling to SearchStore --- src/container.tsx | 65 ++----- src/views/documents/Layout.tsx | 8 +- .../{TagSearchStore.ts => SearchParser.ts} | 78 ++++---- src/views/documents/SearchProvider.tsx | 52 +++++ src/views/documents/SearchStore.ts | 70 ++++--- src/views/documents/index.tsx | 24 +-- .../documents/search/SearchParser.test.ts | 178 ++++++++++++++++++ .../documents/search/TagSearchStore.test.ts | 178 ------------------ src/views/documents/search/index.tsx | 4 +- src/views/documents/search/parsers/in.ts | 2 - src/views/edit/useEditableDocument.ts | 4 +- 11 files changed, 338 insertions(+), 325 deletions(-) rename src/views/documents/{TagSearchStore.ts => SearchParser.ts} (61%) create mode 100644 src/views/documents/SearchProvider.tsx create mode 100644 src/views/documents/search/SearchParser.test.ts delete mode 100644 src/views/documents/search/TagSearchStore.test.ts diff --git a/src/container.tsx b/src/container.tsx index eddcf16..fd307fa 100644 --- a/src/container.tsx +++ b/src/container.tsx @@ -1,52 +1,22 @@ -import React, { useState, useEffect } from "react"; +import React, { useState, useEffect, useContext, Fragment } from "react"; import { observer } from "mobx-react-lite"; import Layout, { LayoutDummy } from "./layout"; import Preferences from "./views/preferences"; import Journals from "./views/journals"; import Documents from "./views/documents"; import Editor from "./views/edit"; +import { SearchProvider } from "./views/documents/SearchProvider"; import { useJournalsLoader, JournalsStoreContext, } from "./hooks/useJournalsLoader"; -import { Alert, Pane } from "evergreen-ui"; +import { Alert } from "evergreen-ui"; import { Routes, Route, Navigate } from "react-router-dom"; -import { useSearchParams } from "react-router-dom"; -import useClient from "./hooks/useClient"; -import { - SearchV2Store, - SearchStoreContext, -} from "./views/documents/SearchStore"; export default observer(function Container() { const { journalsStore, loading, loadingErr } = useJournalsLoader(); - const client = useClient(); - const [params, setParams] = useSearchParams(); - const [searchStore, setSearchStore] = useState(null); - - // This is more like an effect.
