The current dependency tree contains some seriously outdated dependency chains, for example:
live-plugin-manager@0.19.0node-fetch@2.6.6(three years old)whatwg-url@5.0.0(seven years old)tr46@0.0.3(eight years old)Of course downstream packages can upgrade these, but I think it's good to have a sane default here.
