After working with elm-mdl for a while, I noticed that the Material Design Lite library has been deprecated in favour of the new Material Components for the Web library. I understand this means that it'll still be available and it's under the Apache license, but there won't be much maintenance going forward.

Since elm-mdl relies on the MDL CSS implementation, will elm-mdl be incorporating that CSS implementation instead of linking to it, or adopting the CSS implementation of the new Material library, or something else?

Personally, I am leaning towards incorporating material-design-lite css into elm-mdl. We have not decided yet, so I will move this to v9 milestone.

Why not use the material-components itself? Material Components

I plan to do that in my elm-mdc repository. This means that I am not planning anymore to maintain elm-mdl CSS. But it is quite a bit of work because quite some JS code has to be ported all over again.

If you are interested in helping out get in touch with me. :)
