Right now, fetching QIDs is only offered:

  • for the source item, in the Citations Pane
  • for the target item, in the Citations Editor.

Batch actions could be offered:

  • in the item tree, to fetch QIDs for one or more source items (with the option to fetch QIDs for their citation target items too)
  • in the Citations Pane, to fetch QIDs for the source item's citations' target items.

However, many options may confuse users. Given that this is a plugin for citations, and given that QIDs are needed only to sync citations with Wikidata, maybe it makes sense to not offer these actions directly, but offer to run them before citation synchronization (#36), an action already offered both in the item tree and in the Citations Pane.

Potentially related to #23 as well.
