Project explorer doesn't refresh correctly after moving files

• I verified I can reproduce this issue against latest Integration Build of Eclipse SDK

Steps to reproduce

From a fresh installation and clean workspace:

• Create two projects "Project A" and "Project B"
• Create a "test" text file in "Project A"
• Move "test" to "Project B" via drag & drop

Tested under this environment:

• OS & version: Windows 11
• Eclipse IDE/Platform version (as shown in Help > About): 2025-12

Community

• I understand reporting an issue to this OSS project does not mandate anyone to fix it. Other contributors may consider the issue, or not, at their own convenience. The most efficient way to get it fixed is that I fix it myself and contribute it back as a good quality patch to the project.

I can see the same behavior even in the Eclipse 3.8.2. So it's by no means a recent problem.

Yes I noticed this also since a while!

I think the problem is that the content provider includes hidden files like .project

For me usually refresh the projects "work" to update the UI.
