Describe the feature:
We want to track how the sharing options for dashboards are being used

Variables to track

  • stack_stats.​kibana.​plugins.​dashboard.​shares_embeded_total: When users click in "Copy iFrame code"
  • stack_stats.​kibana.​plugins.​dashboard.​shares_link_total: when users click in "Copy Link"
  • stack_stats.​kibana.​plugins.​dashboard.​shares_pdf_total: when users click in "Generate PDF" (can it fail? should we track it?)
  • stack_stats.​kibana.​plugins.​dashboard.​shares_png_total: when users click in "Generate PNG"

For PDF and PNG, do we want to track the advance options (Users clicking in "Copy POST URL") separately or include them in the main count? Depending if it affects performance.

Looks like a use-case for UI counters!

Closing this for the time being. It will be tracked in our Icebox for Iframe / Embedding issues and will be re-opened if our priorities change.

This is tracked in a separate top section so that we prioritize it first if we begin to tackle iframe / embedding functionality.
