Currently APM doesn't respect the user's Kibana settings regarding date/time formats. Most places that shows time are hardcoded to either 24-hour or AM/PM format.

This happens in (but not limited to):

  • Visualizations
  • Timestamps in transaction details table
  • Timestamps in error details table

I just noticed this in 7.0.0-alpha1-SNAPSHOT. But it seems to be hardcoded to AM/PM while my locale is 24H:

Hi @loekvangool,

Yes, that's the reason we have created an issue for this :) I have updated the description so it's clear that this also concerns AM/PM.

Understood, I posted because I had the opposite effect than described. Cheerio!

Kibana settings don't have an option to switch between 24/12 hour time. The only way to change it is to specify a format, based on momentjs.

I'm blocking this issue for now and I'm sending a message to Kibana team to check what they think about it.
