Hi thanks for your quick respone. if you are talking about the comma after 'default', then I am sorry, because that comma is only used in here for a break, my command in the shell is update-rc.d etherpad-lite default |
so I solved the LSB error reporting by removing double qoutes from the variable like this,
to
but even thought this issue is solved, I still can not start the service by runing command
when I run this command, there is no error, but when I open the browser and access 127.0.0.1:9001, it just does not work. do you guys may be have some ideas? I really don't know any code in /etc/init.d/etherpad-lite, please kindly help me, thank you very much. by the way, if I directly run bin/run.sh then it works perfectly. |
Look into the logfile please |

Hi ,
I am using debian 5.0 web server and I followed the step here to install the service.:
https://github.com/Pita/etherpad-lite/wiki/How-to-deploy-Etherpad-Lite-as-a-service
but when I get to the last command: update-rc.d etherpad-lite default ,
I get a message saying: /etc/init.d/etherpad-lite missing LSB information. and I reboot the server, the ehterpad lite is not started.
does anybody know what may be the issues?
