IMPORTANT UPDATE INFO
Version 220321 or later is required to run this update.
If you are on a version before 220321, a disk image update norns for fates 220321 is required prior to running this update.
Run from the SYSTEM>UPDATE menu item on device, while connected to the internet.
Manual update instructions
Download the fates240911.tgz linked below and upload to the ~/update/ directory on your Fates via SFTP.
alternate download method -
use the following via SSH:
cd ~/update
wget https://github.com/fates-project/norns/releases/download/v2.8.4/fates240911.tgz
Then unpack and run update:
cd ~/update
tar -xvf fates240911.tgz
cd 240911
./update.sh
Then reboot with
sudo reboot
Note:
If you see any errors regarding maiden in the update process - those are normal and can be ignored - such as:
cp: cannot stat '/home/we/maiden/dist/catalogs/*.json': No such file or directory
