Default synced folder to the Drupal VM directory

Mentioned earlier in acquia/blt#93 (comment) and I thought I'd bring it up for discussion.

What do you think about defaulting the vagrant_synced_folder to the Drupal VM directory . instead of ~/Sites/drupalvm? At least for power users I think this is one of the most common overrides and it would be nice not having to redeclare the synced folder variable list now that config.yml is optional.

Depending on your setup, some might prefer having this set to subdirectory such as ./drupal though. With everything moving more towards a composer based setup I guess that preference will decline though. Also I'm not sure whether this will make it easier or more difficult for beginners–~/Sites/drupalvm is easily understandable while . might not be.

Sounds reasonable. I just did ~/Sites/drupalvm because I've used the sites dir since upgrading to Mac OS X like 15 years ago :P

We could definitely use a new default that's more in-line with the 'self-contained project' approach. Now that roles are local to the VM, the last thing that's not is the default path for the project... This would allow me to have multiple copies of Drupal VM for different Drupal things without any configuration overrides at all.

Where is the . sync folder on the host machine?

@mooru if you downloaded the Drupal VM folder and added your config.yml next to the default.config.yml that would be the . folder.

cd /Users/me/Sites
git clone git@github.com:geerlingguy/drupal-vm.git my-project

Would sync /Users/me/Sites/my-project to /var/www/drupalvm by default.

But after doing vagrant up and vagrant provision. i can't find the sync folder for the drupal core files
