[WORKAROUND] Add regional list to hide EU cookie law banners #103
Comments
Prebake includes rules from shitlist. |
@RandomAcronym, your obversation is half-truth, devil is in the detail. Let me give you an example. |
@sergeevabc I was the one who asked gorhill to add the “EU: Prebake Filter Obtrusive Cookie Notices” list at the time, and in my perspective, I don't see the real benefit of adding this list you are offering to uBlock, as broader rules tend to do more damage and break sites than help. Do you have any other supportive data to use this list alongside/over the “EU: Prebake Filter Obtrusive Cookie Notices” list? |
@Mikey1993, weakness of Prebake is that it filters known sites whereas new sites appear daily. Luckily most of them use same techniques to alert user of EU law cookies—Shitlist, being a niche list, is full of that very unique names of containers with cookie alert only, so chance of damage is very low. I use both lists for months and it feels good. Moreover, if you’re in doubts, just leave Shitlist unchecked. |
Can be imported as custom filter list. |
Just wanted to mention that Fanboy now maintains such a list too. |
fix popup width in Edge
We already have “EU: Prebake Filter Obtrusive Cookie Notices” list.
Yet there’s one more prominent list on the same subject called Shitlist (github, txt).
Would you care to add it?
