https://github.com/radiantearth/stac-spec seems well aligned with Greyhound's existing metadata, and it would be best to produce something that other clients will be able to consume without development of additional special software.

I propose that Greyhound implement the STAC Catalog API and Entwine/EPT implement the Static Catalog.
