Self-contained package or add-on for Kodi/LibreELEC

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I would like to add my LibreELEC installations to HomeAssistant. However, LibreElec isn't as fully an OS such as Raspberry Pi OS, and thus doesn't have (simple) things like git, and its Systemd works a bit different.

Would it be possible to built a portable package that can be manually called e.g. via cron

Describe alternatives you've considered

Install Kodi on a full-fledged Raspberry Pi OS system

Additional context

LibreELEC does have the following:

• curl
• vcgencmd
• free
• top
• date
• uptime
• uname

And a custom systemd under /storage, plus manual inclusion of python dependencies
