Linux Mint 18.1
Using nvidia-375.26 driver with a Geforce GTX 970. Occurs with nvidia-370 and nvidia-367 as well.

This has been bothering me since I've started using Mint - when logging in or out, MDM will only display on the DVI connected monitor. My primary monitor is connected via DisplayPort, and a third is using HDMI. If the primary display is connected through HDMI or DP, MDM will not display on it if a DVI monitor is connected. This also happens in dual monitor setups as well, as long as the primary monitor is not connected via DVI.

KDM and GDM do not have this problem, and always display on the primary display.

Same here, Linux Mint 18 Sarah. The setup is: laptop with primary LVDS + dock with primary DVI. When docked and lid closed, xrandr and Cinnamon correctly detect the primary screen, but MDM displays the login on the closed lid screen only.
