Facebook Login

To make it work on localhost, you need to generate a self-signed SSL certificate

Make sure you're inside the app directory (or move the files there later)

openssl req -x509 -sha256 -nodes -newkey rsa:2048 -days 365 -keyout localhost.key -out localhost.crt

This will create localhost.key and localhost.crt files.

To run rails server using a generated self-signed SSL certificate

rails s -b 'ssl://localhost:3000?key=localhost.key&cert=localhost.crt'

Thanks to the great resource about self-signed SSL certificate on localhost from Matt DuBois
