After installing the new 7-Zip ZS 22.01 - v1.5.4 - Release 2 (coming from 7-Zip ZS 21.03 - v1.5.0 - Release 2), after a reboot the 7-Zip ZS Hash context menu disappeared on windows. Checking options, the relevant HASH > context menu item is checked as it was in the older version.

I notice in the new version there are now two hash context menu items available: HASH > and 7-Zip > HASH >.

When 7-Zip > HASH > is checked it adds the hash function under the 7-Zip ZS context menu. This does work but requires navigation of an extra menu which if you use this function frequently slows things down considerably compared to having direct access to the 7-Zip ZS Hash context menu.

Can the HASH > context menu item be fixed or is there something else I need to do to restore the 7-Zip ZS Hash context menu?

This is the default in 7-Zip by Igor - so I use this also.

@mcmilk I just checked default 7-zip 7-Zip 22.01 2022-07-15 and that does not appear to be the default?

In the following image 7-zip's context menu item options are on the left, 7-zip zstandard's are on the right:

items

Here is the resulting context menu, as you can see 7-zip zstandard's hashing context menu is missing:

On my system both 7-Zip version have an extra "CRC SHA" menu within there own menu.

This is my Win10 in some VM:

7-Zip:
2023-02-19_190836

7-Zip ZS:
2023-02-19_190851

Yes, I mentioned that the menu in your screenshot works fine. It's the direct menu on the top level that is missing in 7-Zip ZS - it should appear when HASH > is checked.

missing

You may have understood this already, just making sure!

I also have this issue, - hope it will be fixed in next releases (just to let you know this feature is also demanded by someone else).

@mcmilk, thank you! Now it works for me.
Also, some information for those who don't not see that this menu item appeared after updating from R2 to R3 - I had to reboot my PC to make it works (tried to uncheck / check again the appropriate setting before the reboot - no result).

I ended up doing this:

7-zip > Tools > Options > 7-Zip ZS > (Uncheck "7-Zip > HASH >") > OK
Fixed
