I have been looking into PWA and came across this extension, which I was very excited to test in my local installation of the latest magento site.

However, using it has actually caused a negative performance. Whereby, the main document for example loads drastically slower. Taking a whopping 1.55seconds instead of the 234ms I got with cache disabled.

Without service worker:
