Summary

  • No public API to start kernels (not yet)
  • Expose public api to execute code from within variable visualizer
    • The API will be passed into 3rd party code via the command
    • E.g. 3rd party will register a command say xyz to view a dataframe variable.
    • Jupyter extension will invoke the command xyz passing in an object with the method executeCode or the like that allows 3rd party to execute code against the kernel.

Nothing to test, as this was an exploration task.
