Environment data

  • VS Code version: 1.39.0 insiders
  • Extension version (available under the Extensions sidebar): 2019.9.34474
  • OS and version: macOS

Notifications should be used very sparingly, currently you're showing more than can be displayed at once when the extension is first installed.

An easy win here would be to not show the tip or defer it until later since the other notification is already complaining about the version of Python being used
