Glitched vscode insiders app icon in the mac launchpad #118754
Comments
Hmm...I am not able to reproduce and we are on the same system: Version: 1.55.0-insider And opening our icns files shows no errors: @deepak1556 would you know? this is just a basic icns file |
I don't have any other ideas, @deepak1556 let me know if you know anything |
The issue clearly depends on the graphics card, when using the Intel integrated graphics card the icon shows up normal, like in the screenshot below. When using the AMD graphics card, the glitched icon shows up. The AMD graphics card is clearly used for rendering the desktop because the issue appears when using an external monitor. For reference, I'm using a 2019 15" MacBook Pro with the i9-9980HK, 32 GB RAM and the Radeon Pro Vega 20 4 GB. The integrated graphics card is the Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB. |
/duplicate #106429 Upstream issue https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1068170 |
Note to all subscriber of this issue: This issue had been reopened and resolved in #120305 |
Issue Type: Bug
When the app is dragged into a folder in the launchpad, the app icon won't show up when the folder is closed, just some rainbow lines. When the folder is open the right icon will show up.
To reproduce the issue just drag the app in any folder, where it will be visible at the launchpad when the folder is closed.
