That post had been a year ago #62005 .

but here is no hex editing mode in marketplace yet. The best thing we can get is an extension called hexdump for VSCode (slevesque.vscode-hexdump) , but it is read-only and not convenient to use as a view and lack of viewing options too.

I am not to blame that extension because it did a great work to a least enabling basic viewing, but I think it is good to have official support of a Hex editor for people to edit binary files.
