Music players nowadays are pretty overcomplicated, mixxx has a straightforward interface which I really like, most of the time I use it as a simple music player with the autodj functionality. My problem is that some of my tracks have silence in the beginning and/or end, not just 1 or 2 seconds but 10 or more, that leads to a pretty long silence, which I don't like.
Of course this is a general issue, not mixxx specific, but I was thinking maybe mixxx could trim these tracks when loads them into a deck. Not the file itself but the loaded content, just ignore these parts.
I use the latest mixxx from the ubuntu precise ppa.

This can be done by two special cue points.
We may use THE Cue point to place it at the fist beat after usless fad in garbage.
A fade out marker can be placed at the end of the track, honored by AutoDJ.
