This is breaking for us due to the following:

Users will need to change:

VAR1=hello#world
VAR2=hello`world

to

VAR1="hello#world"
VAR2="hello`world"

if they have a .env.

That is, they'll have to quote the value if it has # or `.

Should we release this under a new major version? WDYT?
