Reconciliation Forum April 3rd 12pm PDT #1297

The whole point is to give a forum for people to ask io.js contributors about this. Chris is already setting up and promoting a public forum in the next JNAB meeting (Monday) but those questions will end being directed at Joyent. I'd like to have a place for people to talk to us before that if at all possible. |
Alright, I can get into that.
That'd be okay although I think that everyone (including the Joyent folk) would be more comfortable if the questions were directed at "the foundation", we just need to work out who will represent it. |
Would that be like people from both..? |
What's the status of this? |
Kill this issue, we'll start a new one later once the documentation is done. |
I'd like to schedule an open forum for people to ask questions and continue a discussion about the reconciliation effort with the node.js foundation. Most of the comments at this point are pointed at the foundation and JNAB so I think it would be helpful for people to able to ask candid questions of io.js contributors.
The initial governance documents are up for public comment joyent/nodejs-advisory-board#30 . The base governance document is very similar to io.js governance.
I've kicked off an attempt to reconcile the Project Lifecycle with io.js Working Groups joyent/nodejs-advisory-board#33
I'm sure people still have lots of questions, some of which don't work that well as PRs so I want to make myself and other people close to this effort available.
If you're participating in this effort please offer to be on the Hangout, if you have any questions please post them here so that we can take them up on the Hangout. We should also do some kind of live Q&A.
