The android-configure script passes --without-snapshot, but it would be nice if it didn't have to and snapshots on Android builds were possible.

Keep in mind that Android is not a supported platform. We accept patches but we don't develop or test for it.

A big part of this is the testing part. There is a thread on it at nodejs/build#359. tl;dr: we'd need non-trivial resources for CI testing.
