Essential Grid Plugin on Mobile

I'm having an issue with the theme and Essential Grid plugin by ThemePunch. This theme seems to be blocking the hover effect by touch on mobile/tablet/touch devices. Below are two links to see what is going on.

Note: I have not found any errors in my console and I even disabled all my plugins and got the same result. When I changed my theme to 2015, it worked just fine.
