I recently updated my offline copy of Wiktionary and found that it no longer offers a home button and search bar at the top of the page. This happens both in kiwix-serve and in Kiwix Desktop. I notice that the same problem exists at the hosted copy at library.kiwix.org. However, an older copy at iiab.me doesn't have the issue. Other ZIM files don't have the issue, like the Simple English Wiktionary at library.kiwix.org.

Ok I looked it up and it's actually capturing a blank page with only the Wiktionary banner. More of a feature than a bug, then - not sure which reader (android, iOS, desktop) you are using OP but I would think its search bar is still available. If not, kindly provide a screenshot (and reopen the issue).

Anyways. I'll restart the scraper to the regular front page - we'll figure out a better landing page when we'll start work on openzim/zim-requests/issues/578

@ghjm IMO, you are impacted by a double known weaknesses which are openzim/mwoffliner#1803 and kiwix/kiwix-tools#604. Both bugs have needed quite a bit of work and are fixed... bit none otpf them still officially released. Hopefully in the few next weeks. Thx for reporting and your patience.

Thanks for the update. I am primarily using kiwix-serve and a web browser, so I don't have an external search bar. If it's fixed at library.kiwix.org then it will be fixed for me.

I think this is actually openzim/mwoffliner#1803: the latest Wiktionary contains a script that breaks out of the iframe and overwrites the top page. This has been fixed in the dev version, and should roll out to Kiwix Serve soonish.
