Hi there!

I was looking for a guide like there is for gazebo and ROS matching (http://gazebosim.org/tutorials/?tut=ros_wrapper_versions):

  • Indigo matches with gazebo 2
  • Kinetic matches with gazebo 7
  • Melodic matches with gazebo 9

But for gzweb and gazebo

I noticed there are some branches specified with a version number, for example:

  • 1.2.0
  • 1.3.0
  • 1.4.0
  • 2.0.0

Is there a recommendation about which version I should use depending on my gazebo version?

Thanks in advance!

I recommend trying out 1.4.0 or default branch for gazebo versions 7 and above.

There maybe a chance that 1.4.0 still works with gazebo2 but gazebo2 has EOL’d so no guarantees

2.0.0 was experimental and there has not been any development on it for a while.
