The official stratOS welcome screen page. Written in python and uses PyQt5 widget toolkit.
The namesake Maneki Neko refers to the beckoning cat, to welcome the new users to our system.

What does stratos-maneki-neko do?

This program gives you a quick rundown of StratOS, the OS itself, and about the contributors and links to the stratOS community.

You can also perform quick and easy tasks, to begin your new StratOS journey by:

1. Installing a new StratOS distro (aka stratum).
2. Changing common default settings such as default apps and/or themes.
3. Installing popular Linux applications.

Quick Installation for testing and development work

1. git clone this repo.
2. make a .venv type virtual environment in the cloned local repository.
3. after entering the .venv run pip install pyqt5.
4. run the python file main.py.
