Request to turn some PolyQuilt's features with default edit mode blender without extra clicks

I would love to use the features of PolyQuilt directly with the standard features of Blender or other addons without extra clicks to enter PolyQuilt mode (even with a shortcut) is that possible? especially the loop cut and auto highlight the nearest polygon/vertex/edge i would love to be in standard edit mode in Blender then if I click ctrl the edge loop highlight appears, i love it but couldn't make the change to fit what I'm looking for, please consider to turn this request to reality.
