Phase 0: Protocol 22 Support

The Protocol 22 work must be complete before this epic can become unblocked:

Phase 1: Preparation

This phase involves adding support for all of the plumbing we'll need for the actual feature work:

• Finish clients/stellarcore: Add support for Core's new HTTP endpoints go#5426
• Generate new protocol definitions:
  • Update Horizon to use new XDR: Update XDR definitions for Protocol 23 go#5434
  • Update RPC to use the new XDR: doable once the above is merged
  • Generate XDR for Protocol 23 and support the new proof field. js-stellar-base#767
• Extend preflight to support Protocol 23 (prior work: Support two sorobans for preflight #264)

Phase 2: Integration

This phase involves using the new features across the stack:

• Add support for SorobanTransactionData's new proof field:
  • Go SDK: Update XDR definitions for Protocol 23 go#5434
  • JavaScript SDK: Generate XDR for Protocol 23 and support the new proof field. js-stellar-base#767
• Adapt to new preflight behavior:
  • Remove the DB snapshot behavior across the RPC ↔️ Simulation boundary
  • Perform inspection and new entry proof retrieval of InvokeHostFunction(V2)? operations
  • Perform inspection and archive proof retrieval of RestoreFootprint operations

Phase 3: Downstream

This phase encompasses impact to SDKs and beyond once RPC schemas are locked in:

• JavaScript SDK:
  • Add support for new fields from simulateTransaction.
  • Replace all use of InvokeHostFunctionOp in abstractions with the new operation.
  • Add novel abstractions for the new operation.
  • Integrate everything into the restoration flow of the TypeScript bindings.
• Inform Dev X, Freighter, Lab, et al. about upcoming changes.
• Prepare a blast for community SDKs that includes all XDR and RPC changes.
