Is there a way to specify the output directory to save the plot in pl.proportions(), pl.velocity_embedding_stream(), etc?

Hello all:

Could you please help me.
Using plotting functions like:

scv.pl.velocity_embedding_stream(adata, basis='umap', save = "scvelo_umap_velocity_stream_plot.pdf")

It appears that the "save" argument applies only to the file name and the plot is saved in ./figures directory that is automatically created in the folder that contains the .py script. Is there a way to save the plot in a custom directory?
